Excelsus Sauvignon



Wine-growing area

Vineyards located in the heart of the Loire Valley and more precisely in the Touraine area.


Geological characteristic

Alluvial soil with a significant part of chalky-clay slopes.


Grape variety

100% Sauvignon..


Colour and alcohol content

Pale yellow tinged with green. Alcohol : 12% Alc


Vinification process

The period of wine-harvest is important in order to obtain a good balance between maturity and vivacity. Directed vinification under controlled temperature between 15 and 18°c. Conservation in stainless steel vats, and bottling before the month of May to keep the aroma of the grape variety : Sauvignon.


Technical parameters

Acidity : 4,9 g/l - Sulphur : 30 mg/l (indicative measures).


Tasting Notes

Fruity smell of apricot and exotic fruit (pineapple,mango). A full bodied wine which is well balanced : liveliness in the beginning of tasting and then fullness and richness with touch of honey.
