Anjou/Saumur

Coraline

Wine-growing area

Vineyards located south of the Loire, facing ANGERS. Our selections mostly come from BRISSAC-QUINCE and THOUARCE.

Geological characteristic

Soil made of schist or clay and flown by the Layon, the Loire and the Aubance rivers. Area made of plateau and hills between 30 to 100 meters high.

Grape variety

100% Cabernet Franc.

Colour and alcohol content

Deep pink tinged with violet. Alcohol : 11,5% + 1% vol.

Vinification process

After a quick maceration, like for all mellow wines, the alcoholic fermentation is stopped before the end in order to keep this mellow typicity due to the non-fermented residual sugars. Store in underground vats.

Technical parameters

Acidity : 4,2 g/l - Sulphur : 45 mg/l (indicative measures)

Tasting notes

Well-balanced between its level of acidity and its residual sugar rate, this Cabernet d’Anjou respects the refreshing quality asked for Rosé wines. Pleasant wine, fresh and round in mouth. Serving temperature between 8 to 10°c.
